The godfather of Pop art, Andy Warhol, and Chinese contemporary artist-activist, Ai Weiwei, will show alongside each other in a new exhibition that will open at the Andy Warhol Museum in June 2016.

Jessica Warchall, assistant communications manager of the museum, told artnet News that most things are still “up in the air,” in regards to what works will be shown and what the title of the exhibition will be. But the exhibition will “explore the meticulous observation of modern and contemporary art, life, and politics through the activities of two exemplary figures.”

The Andy Warhol Museum, located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvannia, houses 900 paintings, 100 sculptures, nearly 2,000 works on paper, 1,000 prints, and 4,000 photographs by the pioneering  artist.

Ai Weiwei was recently stripped of his passport and is unable to travel outside China, but the artist has been communicating with the art world via Skype.
